One of Devon's top shopping destinations

One of Devon's top shopping destinations, Princesshay is a relatively recent development in central Exeter. Some of the world's largest brands and retailers have stores in Princesshay. It offers fine views of Exeter Cathedral.

Princesshay is located in the centre of Exeter. Exeter Cathedral is to the south west. Exeter's Underground Passages is at the north east end of Princesshay. The upper end of Exeter High Street runs parallel to Princesshay.

We've positioned Princesshay on Google maps so zoom in to see its location.

There's a multistorey car park at the north east end of Princesshay in addition to several smaller parking areas. Note that Exeter is a small place so Princesshay is very easily accessible from any car park in the centre of the city.

Exeter Blue Boy

As a point of interest, you'll see a small statue of a blue boy in Princesshay. An Exeter City landmark, the Blue Boy once stood in the courtyard of St John's Hospital School.

Inscription reads: 'This statue of a blue boy stood in the courtyard of Saint John's Hospital School founded on this site as a bluecoat school by the Chamber of Exeter A.D.1636 in the dissolved medieval hospital of Saint John the Baptist. The school continued until 1931 in new buildings erected in 1859 which were destroyed by enemy action on May 4th 1942.'
