L. Dartmoor National Park, Exeter

Chagford
Chagford regularly appears in the national press as one of the most desirable places to live in the UK. Located reasonably close to the northern border of Dartmoor National Park and the A30, it's very easily accessible by bus or car from Exeter.
The National Trust's Castle Drogo and the remarkable Teign Gorge are nearby.
Okehampton
Okehampton sits below the highest ground in southern England on the north west border of Dartmoor National Park. The high ground is topped by Yes Tor and High Willhays which are the only two mountains in this part of the UK. The area is a must for walkers.
Bovey Tracey
Located just off the A38 that skirts the eastern border of the National Park between Exeter and Plymouth, Bovey Tracey sits below Dartmoor's most iconic tors and famous moorland villages. It's a great base from which to walk and experience the moors around Haytor Rocks and Hound Tor (East Dartmoor) and Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
Ashburton
Follow the A38 south from Bovey Tracey in the direction of Plymouth and you'll come to Ashburton. The town provides access to one of Dartmoor's most stunning gorges/wooded valleys, its high moor and some of its most popular attractions
Buckfastleigh
Situated by Ashburton, there's a cluster of top attractions at Buckfastleigh. Visit Buckfast Abbey, the South Devon Railway, Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies and the River Dart Country Park.
Belstone
One for walkers. Beautiful village on the edge of Dartmoor's north moor.
We'd recommend heading up to Belstone Tors and then continuing to Oke Tor and Steeperton Tor for immense views of the National Park.
Postbridge
Located in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, Postbridge's famous clapper bridge attracts huge numbers of international visitors each year.
Strung out along the B3212, the hamlet is in a perfect location from which to discover the National Park's prehistory and to enjoy some of its best walks.
Princetown
Dartmoor's high moorland town, Princetown is essential Dartmoor visiting.
Explore Princetown National Park Visitor Centre and Dartmoor Prison Museum. Hire bike from the Fox Tor Cafe and ride the Granite and Gears Routes. Walk out onto the moor and discover the National Park's tors and prehistoric sites.
